MacuPrime PLUS+® Eye Health Supplements

An AREDS2 based supplement to help maintain normal vision. Taken once a day, MacuPrime PLUS+® delivers nutrients to the protective macula pigment. The macular pigment is made up of 3 carotenoids called Lutein, Meso-Zeaxanthin and Zeaxanthin, which gather at the macula to provide natural protection to light-sensitive cells at the back of the eye.

The Macula is a small, light-sensitive spot in the centre of the retina. It is responsible for almost 90% of our vision. The macula gives us all of our sharp detailed and coloured central vision that we rely on for activities such as driving, reading, writing and recognising faces.

As we get older the macular pigment can also wear down and become thinner. This reduced the protection our macula and retina have from oxidative stress and can lead to a condition known as Age-related Macular Degeneration (AMD).

In addition to the benefits of MacuPrime®, MacuPrime PLUS+® gives you additional Vitamin C, Vitamin E and Copper on top of the Lutein (10mg) Meso-Zeaxanthin (10mg) and Zeaxanthin (2mg) available in MacuPrime®. Vitamin C, Vitamin E and Copper, each contribute to the protection of cells from oxidative stress. The eyes can suffer increased oxidative stress as we get older. MacuPrime PLUS+® also contains Zinc which helps to maintain normal vision.

How often should I take MacuPrime PLUS+®?

Four small, easy-to-swallow gel capsule that should be taken altogether every day with food to aid the absorption of the nutrients. MacuPrime PLUS+® works alongside a balanced and healthy diet to boost your carotenoid levels and is safe to take as a long-term support to our diet.

What is the difference between MacuPrime® and MacuPrime PLUS+®?

The only difference is that MacuPrime PLUS+® is an AREDS2 based formula giving you additional Vitamin C, Vitamin E and Copper on top of the Lutein (10mg) Meso-Zeaxanthin (10mg) and Zeaxanthin (2mg) available in MacuPrime®. MacuPrime PLUS+® also contains Zinc which helps to maintain normal vision.
